Call for Applications: Grant Contest – PRCP & WACP Joint Congress 2025, Tokyo
The PRCP (Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists) and WACP (World Association of Cultural Psychiatry) Boards of Directors are pleased to announce the 2nd Grant Contest to support participants from low and middle-income countries who plan to present at the PRCP & WACP Joint Congress 2025 in Tokyo.
1. Grant Details
- Top Awards: USD 1,000
- Runner-Up Awards: USD 500
- Usage: The funds are intended to assist with travel, hotel accommodation, and congress registration fees.
- Number of Awards: Limited number, selected by the Grant Committee.
2. Eligibility
- Applicants must be from countries classified as Category B, C, or D—as defined by the World Bank income classification system (i.e., low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income economies).
- Applicants must plan to give a presentation at the PRCP & WACP Joint Congress 2025.
- Only abstracts submitted via the official portal and meeting the guidelines below will be considered.

- To apply for this grant, you must include “Grant Contest2” at the end of your abstract title.

5. Ethical Requirements
- Authorship: All authors must meet authorship criteria and approve the final submission.
- Conflict of Interest: Any potential conflicts must be disclosed.
- Ethical Approval: Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and include appropriate approvals.
6. Author Information
Through the abstract submission system, please provide:
- Title of the abstract
- Author names and affiliations
- Contact information for the corresponding author
- Names and affiliations of research team members (if applicable)
7. Review & Notification
- All submissions will undergo peer review by qualified experts.
- Applicants may be asked to revise their abstracts based on reviewer feedback.
- Awardees will be notified by email and announced on the official congress website.
